The embroidery was restored and transferred onto silk shantung. The pelican and the Marian monogram, by contrast, were made especially for this piece.

During the work the embroidery was restored, reattached and burnished, recovering its former splendour.

Orphrey embroidered in gold on ivory silk moella. The orphrey comes from the transfer of a series of elements that certainly belonged to a set dismantled some decades ago. The surviving elements were recomposed, burnished, restored and completed with new parts, giving life to this rich and exuberant orphrey that adorns chasubles in the various liturgical colours.
