Michele Cassata creates and restores sacred vestments using historic techniques: embroidery in gold, silver, silk, coral and hardstones. Not a conservator only: in new pieces he reinterprets the historic design and signs it as his own.

Michele Cassata has embroidered vestments for the Pontiff. Chasubles, mitres, coats of arms and bands in gold, silver and polychrome silk, made entirely by hand, stitch after stitch. Work that says as much about the one who wears it as about the one who spent hours, days and weeks with needle and thread, making something meant to last in time and in history.
