Michele Cassata hand-embroidering gold stars on a blue vestment

Sacred vestments
embroidered by hand

A new vestment begins with a commission. An antique vestment comes back to life through restoration. Michele Cassata works on both with the same method: read the design before touching it.

New creations

A new vestment begins with a commission. Michele Cassata starts from the client's design, listens to it, then decides: which element to keep faithful to the original intention, which to reinterpret with his own signature. The result is not a copy, it is a conversation.

Restorations

An antique vestment carries a history, visible in every stitch. Restoration does not erase it, it reads it. Cassata works to preserve what is fragile, to bring old techniques into dialogue with today's materials, and to return the piece to its function without denying the years it has lived.

Request
a commission

Every piece begins with a direct request: a new creation, a restoration, a vestment to reinterpret. The first step is to tell us about it.
